My daughter and I spent 5D4N in this little dorm with other girls, I thought it would be noisy but everyone was very nice and considerate and we had good sleep every night. The location of the hostel is very good, it's in the center of Cenang beach, just few minutes walking distance, nearby can find many restaurants and shops. Only few minutes by Grab/taxi from the hostel to airport. The dorm room is upstair, downstairs is kitchen and bathrooms, it's open space concept but very safe. The environment is lovely and quiet, I don't mind to stay longer there. Nadia our host is very friendly, she recommended nice local food and local tour for us. Overall it's the best dorm/hostel I ever stayed so far!
It was so lovely staying at Bunga Hostel. It is truly a safe space for women and a perfect location if you want some peace and quiet. The room is very cozy with all the girls, comfortable and quiet. It is only a 5 minute walk to Cenang beach area where you can find many facilities like spa’s, restaurants and 7/11. First, I booked 6 nights but I extended my stay because it was so nice staying here. You can book several tours like island hopping or ferries to Thailand. The host Nadia will gladly help you to book them. I really recommend doing the Mangrove tour!! Had a nice overall experience and would definitely recommend!
My stay at Bunga Hostel was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by Nadia and her husband, who are both incredibly kind and attentive hosts. The atmosphere they’ve created is truly special, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is perfectly tucked away, providing a serene retreat while still being just a short walk from the lively main stretch of Pantai Cenang. This balance allowed me to enjoy the beach and local attractions while returning to a peaceful sanctuary each evening. As a novice solo traveler, I found Bunga to be a safe and nurturing environment. Nadia goes above and beyond to ensure that all her guests feel included, fostering a sense of community among everyone while also respecting personal space. I appreciated how she made an effort to connect everyone, encouraging conversations and friendships among guests. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with cozy common areas that invite social interaction while still allowing for quiet moments of relaxation. It was easy to meet fellow travelers and share stories, yet I also appreciated having my own space when I needed it. Overall, my experience at Bunga Hostel was incredibly positive. I left with wonderful memories and new friends, and I would highly recommend it to any solo female travelers looking for a welcoming, safe, and inclusive place to stay. Thank you, Nadia, for creating such a beautiful space! I can’t wait to return!
The female dorm, operated by the friendly Nadia, offers a cozy and safe environment for guests. I had the chance to meet Nadia briefly, and she left a positive impression with her warm demeanor. However, my check-in experience was slightly inconvenient as Nadia was not present, and she had forgotten to leave a check-in note for me as a new guest. During my stay, I noticed a few areas that could benefit from improvement. The dorm lacked a functioning hairdryer, which was a bit disappointing. Nadia explained that all three hairdryers had recently broken and that replacements were on order, but the inconvenience remained. Additionally, the lighting at the staircase was not working, making it very dark and potentially hazardous when navigating the stairs at night. Addressing this issue would significantly enhance safety for guests. Despite these shortcomings, the dorm has great potential. With better attention to maintenance and service, it could provide an even more enjoyable and hassle-free experience for travelers :D
