Good value for money, with a great location within walking distance to the city center. The rooms were spacious and clean, which added to the overall comfort. However, the men’s shared bathrooms were constantly wet and slippery, posing a serious safety hazard. Improving the water drainage system is essential to prevent potential accidents in the future.

We stayed at the Bealey Quarter last week for 2 days when in NZ for a wedding. Took a risk because the price was substantially less then other accomodation but it was a risk worth taking. Beds and pillows were comfy, great water pressure, everything was clean and the staff were lovely. 20% off at the pub was an added bonus and the breakfast was fantastic - had the option of continental or a full breakfast where they don't cut corners. Highly recommend staying here.

Honestly its a very good hostal for the price. Its very clean I even see the cleaning ladys deep cleaning everymorning. If there is bad comments about the kitchen it has nothing to do with the hostal. They clean this every day. If its dirty its because of the people who stay here. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms great, tv room nice and wifi is SUPER quick.
