7, Jalan Sungai Ujong, George Town, 10100 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Stayed from May 30 - June 3. For less than 200 IDR/night, this place is awesome. The AC worked, the water heater worked, the bed was really comfortable. The other reviews are correct in saying that their WiFi worked well. The hotel is also located very strategically, it’s very near to Terminal Komtar, it’s also very near to a good gym as well as a very good coin laundry hence I saved up so much money in not making my luggage too heavy with clothes. The neighbourhood is also filled with many street food vendors
I stayed at the hotel for 4 days. The location is strategic, close to Komtar city center. The price is affordable and the facilities are complete. The room is clean, though it’s a bit small. However, overall, it’s a good stay. There’s an additional charge for a ‘warisan tax’ of 2 RM per night.
Very late post but I still want to give credit to this accommodation. I would say I have never ever been around George town on foot but because of this place, I managed to walk around and even discovered how close was this place to Komtar, two interesting museums and if you walk further ahead, you can even get to Sup Hameed IPK. The inn itself nestled between shop rows and eateries. Small and convenient. Toilet is a bit sexy with glass door. The downside? Parking definitely. Once you get a parking, don't move your car or else you'll end up parking it far from you.
The room had a window but it was just too high up there to view anything but the sky. I wouldn't even know if it's raining. But what's great is its location, it's generally clean in the room, toilet, lobby. There's limited TV stations (MyTV). The reception staff are pleasant and helpful and they are there 24 hours. If you prefer a room with windows and street view you have to fork out a lot more for the front rooms.
