Aloft Hostel Aloft Hostel is a decent place. I stayed in the mixed dormitory section for a total of fourteen days. All in all it served it's purposes for what I was in Pattaya for. I'll mention pros, cons, and a brief summary in this review. Pros: 1. The staff: The staff are absolutely wonderful here. They consistently provided great service, friendliness, and help. The staff I met were The young receptionist (watt), the 2 cafe girls, and, young man who did my laundry. 2. The owner: I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Phillipe. Extremely kind, polite and interesting. Overall, just a nice guy. 3. Service: The service here is good. Promptly provided towels, laundry service, and cleaning. Staff ALWAYS friendly. 4. Price: I paid 200 bhat a night for the mixed dormitory. The price is hard to beat. A good deal financially. 5. Good WIFI 6. Safe: Usually had someone stay late nights to watch the lobby. Had to use key entry and electronic tag to enter mixed dorm ( I liked the 2 levels of security) Let me mention some cons. Cons: 1.Bathroom space(mens): The urinal is right next to the sink. I didn't enjoy brushing my teeth so close to where you pee. One shower had no hot water(2 total showers) 2. Laundry service: Found it a little difficult to do laundrymyself. Space was a little cramped and often the washing machine was not working. Didn't notice a place to hang washed clothes(like a rope or a line) 3. Air condioning unit: I can't speak for the other A/C units but mine was extremely dusty and dirty. After 1 week, my A/C unit over bunk stopped working. As a result, lot’s of mosquitos kept me up. I just switched bunks to sleep however. Not a big deal. Let me emphasize however. The bathrooms were EXTREMELY clean. The staff did an outstanding job cleaning the toilets, the shower, and the floor. Not once was I ever grossed out or disgusted. The cleanliness of the bathrooms easily cancels out some of the cons I listed above. In summary, Aloft Hostel was a good stay. The owner and the staff truly made a difference. The Staff in itself is what prompted me to write this review and share it with you. What's the bottom line? Would I stay here again for an extended amount of time? Absolutely.

When you’ve been budget traveling long enough a lot of things don’t bother you. This hostel, specifically the bathrooms are not the best. The water was hot, the sheets are clean, and the Ac is strong and on all day - what more can I ask for. I will give this place an above rating because the hostel owner let me check in at 9am after an overnight bus, I feel blessed I slept until 6pm. I’m happy
