802, Taiwan, Kaohsiung City, Lingya District, Ziqiang 3rd Rd, 5號12樓-43
The room was clean and good enough for me to stay a night for stop-over to the airport. Although it's only 7km to the airport, but it the road was busy and it costs few hundred NTD to catch a taxi.
Stayed for three night in a room with a city view. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. The view was absolutely worth it! The staff is extremely kind as well, I have left some of my stuff in the room by accident, and they immediately brought them down for me to the reception.
?Location: Very good location in Kaohsiung's heighest building. It's in the most interesting and beautiful part of the city, with lots of things to see around and good food. It's also well communicated, near the ? green LRT station and ? metro station. ? Room: We got a very spacious and nicely decorated room with amazing view of the city. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom had good water pressure. ? Owners: A nice couple will be in charge of your stay. They are very helpful and cheerful people, who will gladly point out the most interesting things to see in the city! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to everyone.
Room quality really depends on which room you book. This review is for an "inside" room—check out the pictures! The room has a slight smell, and some items are a bit dated, but you get a living room and a bed, so it's hard to complain about what you're getting for the price. If you can handle a little smell and some older or slightly broken fixtures, it's perfectly fine. The room comes with two bottles of water and two tea bags. If you're picky about towels, I’d suggest bringing your own, as the provided ones aren't the best. Service is good, and the owners are super nice. Just make sure you have the Line App—it’s the main way to communicate with the front office, which is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week (hours might vary). The location is great. My partner's office is in the same building, which makes it super convenient, and I can’t complain about that! There’s a 全聯 supermarket nearby, though it’s a bit pricey. If you’re looking for cheaper options, just head out, turn left, and you'll find plenty of good places and night markets within a 10-minute walk. There are also some great restaurants across the street—check out my other review for a Hainan chicken place that has great chicken rice! Checking in can be a bit tricky since Expedia’s instructions aren't very clear. Enter through the north entrance, turn left, and take the elevator up to the 12th floor. Their check-in office is on the 12th floor in one of the units—East Wing, North Side, Unit 34. After you check in, one of the owners will take you up to your room on a higher floor. Overall, this is one of the tallest buildings in the area and used to be pretty fancy. However, due to the economic downturn in Kaohsiung, the building needs some TLC. Parts of it have been subleased or sold to different smaller owners, which is why you’ll see lots of smaller motels within the building. Room quality varies widely—even within the same owner’s units—so keep that in mind when booking.
