Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Torte by Linda - a charming cafe in Puchong that makes Russian-inspired cakes and pastries! If you’ve ever wondered what the desserts in Russia taste like, then this is the perfect spot for you to explore some new flavours.

Founded by Linda Rozlee, the self-taught baker’s baking business started all the way back in 2011 before she opened the brand’s physical store. Specializing primarily on Russian cakes, Linda sold her unique desserts through other bakeries which became a huge hit. Fast forward 8 years, the doors of Torte by Linda officially opened where the streak of success continued itself.

Treat yourself to authentic Russian flavours by making your way to this one-of-a-kind Russian cafe. Once you step inside the minimalistic space of the bake shop, spot the Russian dolls neatly lined up on the cake display counter!

While you can’t go wrong with any of the desserts here, their signature Tort Classic Medovik cake should definitely be one of your top choices. As one of the best-sellers, it’s not hard to see why this delectable cake is well-loved by customers. With eight layers of soft, caramelized honey sponges sandwiched between Dulce de leche (boiled condensed milk cream), this cake is an ultimate dream ?

If you happen to be a chocolate lover just like us, then you have to try their current top-selling cake - the Tort Prestizh! Dive your fork into the multi-layered chocolate honey cake with crunchy almond, hazelnut praline and chocolate ganache drizzled with salted caramel, then bask in the explosion of rich flavours. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect weekend treat?

Beyond the cakes, another signature bake and customer favourite is Oreshki. Known as walnut shaped cookies, the crispy golden exterior of the cookies filled with Dulce de leche are an absolute delight to bite into. With a single taste of this, you’ll be wanting a box full of Oreshkis to take home ?

At Torte by Linda, you can also indulge in other traditional Russian cuisine like pelmeni. Believed to be the national dish of Russia, the Russian style chicken dumplings are served with the cafe’s homemade chilli paste and sour cream. Enjoy your meal further by pairing it with their selection of teas like the "Shipovnik", a Rose Hip & Herbal Tea infused in a mix of herbs and spices.

For more savoury dishes, make sure to check out the mini black board at the front counter showcasing their specials.

Before you leave the cafe, you may want to grab a jar or two of honey from Linda’s Farm - another one of Linda’s brands that supplies 100% natural honey from Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Using this particular product in almost all her recipes at the cafe, there’s no wonder as to why the unique desserts at Torte by Linda’s taste as amazing as they do.

So, with Torte by Linda in your sight and on your radar, it’s time to make plans to delight your taste buds with some mouthwatering Russian cakes and pastries.
