This is a must go in Taipei if you are vegan! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating! We came during the break (closed from 2-5), but they still made us some food and we really appreciated it. But what we weren't ready for is how good the food was. The dumplings were better than the vegan options at din tai Fung, and we also had rice with vegetables, which was also very flavorful and cooked by, very clearly, exceptional chefs. The entire experience of dining here was a delight.

Super friendly staff, great vegan spot! The menus come with english for non-Chinese speaker/readers. Flavors are on the more gentler side, with a hard focus on natural ingredients. The noodles I tried had a traditional chinese herbal flavor to them, and were a little bland for me. But honestly it’s perfect hangover food, and kind of restorative? The dumplings are a flavor bomb, filled with shredded rice noodles (?). Definitely would comeback for the dumplings alone!

Authentic and pure. The food is high quality and delicious. The fermented fruit juice/kombucha is a premium treat — a must-try!

We came to Tailai when the kitchen was already closed, but my brother kindly explained we were vegan, and they went out of their way to help us. They served us whatever was left, and even though there was no soup left for the dumplings, they were still delicious. The area doesn’t have many vegan options, so we were really grateful, and everything we ate was satisfying. I had noodles, which were filling and just what I needed. Personally, I find the Taiwanese kitchen a bit on the bland side, but this still hit the spot. Huge shoutout to the staff, especially Anita, who was incredibly kind and helpful. They also speak English, which made everything easier. Overall, a lovely little place with kind-hearted service, thank you Tailai!
