Visiting WOK HEY, the ordering process was notably streamlined thanks to a QR code system—a hassle-free start to the meal. The staff were efficient and unobtrusive, which is always appreciated. The main event, the Satay Chicken Fried Rice, was a solid dish. The rice had a pleasant turmeric flavor, and the ‘wok hey’—the smoky aroma from the wok—was present, though subtle. Fresh cucumbers and onions added a necessary crunch, and the peanut sauce provided a hint of sweetness that was interesting but didn’t steal the show. The portion size was surprisingly ample, leaving some to take home—which is a plus in my book. My wife and I left satisfied, feeling that the dish was a good choice for a casual meal out. In short, while the Satay Chicken Fried Rice at WOK HEY won’t be winning any gourmet awards, it’s a hearty, flavorful option that’s worth trying if you’re in the area before it’s rotated off the menu. I’m sad that it’s going to be off the menu soon ?

My favourite is the ramen with sous vide egg. It really tasted like Japanese ramen, but dried version. With the sous vide egg and ebiko added, it tasted like a carbonara spaghetti.

Long wait during lunch time. Food is ok.
