179 Enmore Rd, Enmore NSW 2042, Australia
This is an institution in Enmore, having been here for decades. They serve up good Turkish dishes with plenty of vegetarian options too. I had the veggie iskender, plus a vegetarian pide. We shared a plate of dips too. My friends enjoyed their grilled platters of meat, though they mentioned the beef was a little drier than they'd prefer. Overall, good value with large portions served.
Delish food, but it can be a bit confusing, so let me break it down for you. ? This is both a takeaway place (with plastic chairs outside on the footpath) and a sit-down restaurant (with seats indoors and out on a balcony patio). If you want to sit down, you need to walk past the front part of the shop and go fairly determinedly towards the back. ? The food is similar in the two halves, but different offerings. For example, if you eat at the restaurant, you can get a dips platter, but if you get takeaway, you need to order the dips by the container. ? The food is pretty good. The drinks selection is just canned soft drinks. ? Like most Turkish restaurants, it's really better if you come with friends. That way you can share dishes and get a good variety. ? How good is the place? Mixed grill platters are killer. The ONLY place to eat before/ after a show at the Enmore. Lovely staff, great food, kooky ‘eating in aunty’s garage’ atmosphere. This is not your slick Enmore eatery, this is mum & dads home cooked Turkish, tucked out the back of the kebab shop.it’s an institution. So glad it hasn’t changed and is still serving up the good stuff.
Delicious food, as depicted in the photos attached. Massive portion, will leave your belly full and satisfied. Great service from the friendly staff. Nice get-together with friends. -Stergos
Third time here over the last 3 or 4 years. The kebabs are the best in Sydney and the chips are freaking amazeballs. The staff are always really lovely too. Nice to see consistency in a failing food and service world.
