The food presentation and serving time is just nice, the con observed is some waiter not observant enough to remove the finished dishes, need to signal. The room we dine in is a little crowded for 10person, 8 will be nice. Food taste are great. Most of the dishes are either small or medium portion.
I do enjoy coming here Chinese food. This time though the fried cabbage dish was pretty flat but we enjoyed the other dishes. The staff are quite busy but responsive.
This place is surprisingly well frequented so I would advise you to book in advance if you plan to come here. The advantage here is parking is fairly easy. Their menu is pretty comprehensive and easy to navigate. Pictures are quite representative and you shouldn't have much problem selecting your dishes. The food is generally good and a couple of them exceptional. My recommendation is not to miss the tofu salted egg. It comes freshly deep fried and hot, good skin and batter crackle with soft delicious interior. Superb bite to have. I also enjoyed the tinge of rice wine flavour with fresh steamed medium prawn and soft silky steamed egg. However, even though the string beans had a nice fresh crunch to it, the minced pork was a little salty. So was the braised pork and vegetable. I understand that this fish is meant to be salty but it was a little over the top, easily remedied by eating it with rice of course. Barring the salt, the pork was deliciously oily and tender, as is meant to be. As far as the fish fillet with goes, the meat is generous and tastes fresh. Generally refreshing. All in all, the dishes are well cooked, nicely flavoured and comes hot. The table is spacious and staffs efficient. I was just nitpicking their dishes and we'll come again for repeat visits.
Good place for calling dishes with rice meal. If you did not make any booking, you probably cannot enjoy aircon room meal. This is the only setback.
We were late for lunch. Ordered Stir fried ramen with roasted pork, crispy noodle with steam fish, and fried ramen with chicken. The portions were big. Food was a little saltish for our taste bud. The fried ramen with chicken a bit oily, but tasted good. We had to tapau some food home. A reasonable place for lunch with friendly service. Prices were competitive. Ample Parking at Egate.
