We arrived not realising we needed a booking (due to popular trivia), and the charming host was able to squeeze us in on a busy Sunday! Great service, very attentive and friendly. Fast response to orders, food and drinks arrived quite quickly after ordering. All the food was delicious, everyone very happy with their orders. Great variety on the menu, made it tricky to decide but I thoroughly enjoyed my double cheeseburger. Hubby also raved about the Cornish steak sandwich and the onion relish. Highly recommend.
Went to The Cornish Arms for our last meal in Melbourne as we had travelled from South Australia for a convention. The staff member that took our order was absolutely lovely and really set the mood for a lovely night at a great location. I ordered the vegan Hawaiian parma (parmi), and my friend ordered the general Hawaiian parma as Sunday is Parma night. We also ordered garlic bread to share. The food portions were huge, and the salad was fresh. The seitan vegan chiken schnitzel was great, the toppings were delicious, and there was a good portion of chips. It was all delicious. My friend said pretty much the same about the meat parma, big portion size, fresh and delicious. We also had peach iced tea, which was nice but not what we expected.
Nice place for some burgers and Cornish arms sandwich. Service was excellent as staff kept up the drink service. Do try the burgers and Cornish arms Sanger.
Meal size was generous. Food was tasted great!! And they made my wife feel very comfortable with coeliac safe meals! Thanks guys!
It was a long walk to find a place open on a public holiday to eat as we walked past a few places and they were closed with an old colleague that has now moved to Melbourne from New Zealand. I ordered the chicken Parma, and my friend ordered some pork dish I just can't remember what it was coated l called. I enjoyed my meal but it could have been so much nicer if the tomato sauce/paste had a bit more taste. The chicken was cooked very well. The chips were great. My friend enjoyed his meal but it was a little difficult to cut the pork crackle with the standard knife he was given. After asking for a proper knife, it was a lot better. It was a nice place to visit, service was great as well.
