WARNING: IT'S THAI SPICY! Or almost... Possibly the best Thai restaurant in town! Thai food is often too adapted to the "overly sweet" Vietnamese palate. Not so much here! It is pretty authentic! The beef salad is Thai spicy and sour like it should be! A delight! Tom Yum could be more sour and more flavorful, but pretty good nonetheless. The red curry was a bit sweet but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was very nice with a smiling staff. The venue is clean. And it's certified by the Thai government! I'll be back for sure!

The food quality is within the moderate price range. The dishes are made with typical Thai flavors. The display is clean, however the staff is a bit unprofessional but it's okay because the food prices here are not too high so we can't expect professional service quality The food is served a bit cold, you should to try Thai red lemon tea.

As someone who adores Thai food, I was thrilled to stumble upon this spot by chance, especially after noticing that they accept card payments (a big plus for convenience!) and boast an award-winning reputation. The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and I was promptly served by Trong, who left a great impression with hier efficiency. The service was super fast—my order was taken and the food arrived in no time, which I appreciated as I was quite hungry. The atmosphere felt inviting, and the restaurant’s branding as a place that promises “Sabaidee Happiness” definitely set a positive tone for the meal. Looking at my bill, I ordered a variety of dishes to get a good sense of their offerings. I started with the Ca Ri Vang Ca Hoi (Yellow Curry with Salmon and Piper Lolot), priced at 200,000 VND. The presentation was lovely, and the aroma of the curry was incredibly enticing with its rich, coconutty base. However, while the flavors were generally well-balanced and the salmon was cooked perfectly, I found the curry to be a bit salty for my taste. It wasn’t a dealbreaker by any means, as the dish was still enjoyable, but I would have preferred a slightly milder seasoning to let the natural sweetness of the coconut and the freshness of the salmon shine through more. Next, I had the Tom Yum Hai San (Tom Yum Soup with Seafood) for 175,000 VND. This was a highlight of the meal! The soup was bursting with the classic tangy, spicy, and aromatic notes that make Tom Yum so iconic. The seafood was fresh, with a generous portion of shrimp and other morsels that added a delightful texture to the broth. It paired wonderfully , which came in handy as the spice level was just right to make my nose tingle. To drink, I opted for a Dasani Water (20,000 VND), which was a simple but refreshing choice to balance out the bold flavors of the meal. The total came to 400,000 VND, which I found to be quite moderate for the quality and portion sizes. Thai Market also notes that the price includes VAT and a 60-minute free parking fee, which is a thoughtful touch for diners. What stood out to me beyond the food was the overall experience. Trong’s attentiveness and the speed of service made the meal even more enjoyable, and I appreciated the little details like the encouraging message on the bill: “Serving Sabaidee Happiness!” and their invitation to provide feedback for a better experience. It’s clear that Thai Market values its customers and strives to create a welcoming environment. As someone looking for a break from Vietnamese pho and banh mi, Thai Market delivered exactly what I needed—a taste of authentic Thai flavors in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. The fact that they’re award-winning didn’t surprise me, given the quality of the food and service. While the yellow curry was a tad salty for my palate, the Tom Yum more than made up for it, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and happy with my choice to step in. I’d definitely recommend Thai Market to anyone craving Thai cuisine in HCMC. It’s a great spot for a quick, flavorful meal, and the moderate pricing makes it accessible for a casual dining experience.
