This place is what I would call the true definition of "hidden gem". A truly unique dining experience as I myself am not a vegetarian but I came here with my wife who is one, and this place did not disappoint, from presentation, taste, quality and service ? Menu can be a bit daunting for first timers, and I had a hard time picking what to eat as everything was very new to me, but staff members were very attentive and patient with us, and even gave us a full tour of their meals, preparation methods, average waiting time and made recommendations based on our dietary preferences (taste, texture, ingredient, etc). Service is on par, and at times, even outshining high-priced restaurants. In terms of food, their potato wedges is truly mind-blowing. We have not tasted something so simple yet so delightful. You've got to try it to believe me. My missus enjoyed the udon though it was a little bit under seasoned for my liking, but it is still good nonetheless. The carbonara is a very unique experience as the overall sauce texture had more bite than I expected, which gave it a very fulfilling aftertaste. I loved how the blended puree complimented the spaghetti, where the spaghetti didn't feel as though it was store bought. Would also recommend to try. Last we ordered the Couple Sushi set which came with 8pcs of selected sushi. They had a wider selection, but as some of them had a minimum order of 6pc, we decided to get something where we could try a bunch, hence our order. Overall our experience at this restaurant was fantastic and would highly recommend to vegetarians and vegans, as well as those transitioning towards a more vegetable-oriented dietary. My only regret is not discovering this place sooner ? Other areas of improvement would be to consider brightening up the dining spot a little more, as it can get quite hard to read the menu, and the menu paper gloss makes it hard to read some parts due to spotlight reflection from the pendant lights above the table. If you've reached this far, thanks for reading. Would love to express more but you'd start to feel like my review is paid, so yeah, here's the end ? You can bet I'll be back for round 2 and more!
Foods are very unique. Sushi is more a less same with others restaurant. Love their fired rice and udon. And I love the lemongrass and ginger tea for an upset tummy.
The owner is super friendly, talkative, and full of great ideas. They want everyone to know that vegetarian food can be delicious too! Eating healthy isn’t just good for yourself—it’s good for the planet as well! ?? ? If you love vegetarian food or want to try a healthier diet, you should definitely give this place a try! You’ll leave feeling satisfied and truly happy. ❤️
Sushi Kitchen in Bukit Jalil is a cosy and peaceful spot to enjoy Japanese vegetarian food. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing—possibly because it wasn’t peak hour during my visit—which made the dining experience calm and pleasant. The food is well-prepared and up to standard, with creative vegetarian takes on Japanese classics. However, the pricing may not be suitable for everyone, as some dishes lean toward the higher end. Overall, it’s a nice place for a quiet meal, especially if you’re looking for a healthier, meat-free Japanese option.
What a delightful lunch! Despite a small mix-up with one order (entirely our fault!), the owner’s response was truly remarkable. So surprised when they insisted on covering the cost, felt like being treated by a long-time friend, was completely unexpected in such a commercial F&B spot. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
