Saraswathie Lodge has been in this location for decades. I remember coming here as a kid with my dad. Food is great and it's quite clean. They have dining facilities upstairs as well.

Decent food. Very clean. Service is quick. Staffs are very friendly. Taste is good and prices are cheap. We bought idli and it was good. Ulundu vadai is great! Tea was very average. Took masala dosai for takeaway and it was good. Definitely will visit again.

What a great surprise to find this place. It has been my go-to here in Colombo. Clean and very basic cafe style eatery with upstairs seatting as well. Always bustling with locals who clearly know what's good here. The food is a simple style South Indian vegetarian full of flavors, incredibly filling and well priced. If you're on this side of Colombo, looking for an amazing local cheap eat, make sure to put this place on your foodie bucket list. This is the masala dosai special with a vadai and a badji.

The food was great. They have a fully vegetarian menu. Reasonable pricing. And the staff were attentive as well. It was a good experience.
