Went there during lunch time without reservation. The staff kindly requested us to wait for 30 mins to have my table ready. Very lovely and chatty staff. Feels very comfortable with them. This restaurant is located along one of the main street in Zermatt beside Hotel Pollux, very easy to find. The place is very cosy, clean, nicely decorated and homely. Food is good, you should try a variety of their offers. Highly recommended!!!!

We really enjoyed our meal here. The lamb was tender and delicious. The Zurich Style Veal with rosti was done really well as well. We were lucky and were able to dine here before they take a break until they reopen in the winter.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Arvenstube in the beautiful historic hotel Waldhaus on top of the hill at Sils Maria. The hotel kindly accepted to pick us up and drive us back to our different hotel in Sils Maria. Quite practical as the walk up/down hill in winter can be quite slippery. The hotel is amazing inside with lots of wood and musicians. Overall the food was very good but with a few hick-ups that were solved only after lengthy discussions with management of the restaurant. Indeed we had in particular to wait almost 1 hour between appetizer and main. The management ultimately did a gesture on the check.

Delicious food and great service. Also the restaurant decorated very nice and cozy.

Fantastic. Authentic Austrian Wiener schnitzel that was excellent. Service was one of the best in Zermatt, thank you Nicole. We will for certain be back.
