We came here for the cake, and it is really good. I have been here twice. Its a nice heritage building, with plenty of seating place, and good ambiance. there are few section and each with different decorations, which are nice The cakes are good, but the price is slightly on the expensive side. But the portion of each slice is perfect. If there is chance we will love to try all the cakes too. The drinks are good too. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Only complain is on our visit on the night of 23 March, one staff are rushing us to finish the cake so that he can take the plate. This feels rude and the time is not even near to closing time.
I’ve been to Reggae Cafe Penang twice now, and both experiences were absolutely fantastic! The first time was for a private event with over 50 guests — the team handled everything smoothly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a fun and relaxed gathering. The second time, we celebrated my mum’s birthday there. She and my dad absolutely loved the food and the chilled, welcoming vibes. Highly recommend this place whether you’re planning a big event or just looking for a cozy spot with great food!
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Reggae Cafe! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with great vibes that perfectly complement the delicious food. Every dish was prepared to perfection—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they really added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a relaxing ambiance, Reggae Cafe is the perfect spot.
Strolling around Armenian Street and found this cafe. I was surprised that all the food I ordered was so delicious and the portion were really big! You can sharing the main course with 2 person. I’ll recommend the mushroom soup the taste so comforting after the long flight. Will come back again!
I regularly come here as it's near my workplace, and rarely gets crowded during lunchtime due to their abundance of tables. Seriously. This place is huge, as it stretches all the way back. The atmosphere is great, but maybe they could ease up a bit on the dim lighting. The front section of the restaurant gets plenty of natural light, but there is higher traffic as people walk past here and there to check out the cakes and pay the bill. Their lunch sets are great value especially considering their huge portion. If you're a member, they also give a free slice of cake. The food rarely disappoints. Out of all the menu I've tried, I can't say there was ever a dish I didn't like. My favorite however is the ham chowder, which is perfectly creamy with very pleasant crispiness from the ham, and the potato chunks are quite filling. The salmon is great too. Also, all of the side salads that came with the dishes I've tried have a really tasty sesame dressing that I particularly like. The only subpar thing about the cafe is the drinks, I suppose. I'm not really blown away by them, and they're a bit overpriced. The whole menu is expensive (besides the lunch sets) tbh but joining as a member helps alleviate that a little bit. Overall, a great place for a meal. I would recommend it.
