Had a really great time for dinner. Food tasted fantastic and reasonable price. The staff are attentive but not overbearing, they offered us a small side table to fit all the dishes we ordered and gave us a small tea bottle to take home. Will come back for special occasions!

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating our engagement ceremony at Oriental Tea House in Melbourne CBD, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with impeccable service, and it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The chef's pick menu was absolutely outstanding—each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Every course seemed to surpass the last, showcasing the culinary talent of the kitchen. The variety and freshness of the ingredients really made the meal an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to Jolyn Tan, the Functions and Events Manager, for her incredible support throughout the planning process. Jolyn made sure everything ran smoothly, and her attention to detail truly made our day special. She was attentive, professional, and ensured that our ceremony was not only seamless but also exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere at Oriental Tea House was perfect for our celebration—charming, welcoming, and elegant. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our engagement was a day to remember. This restaurant is highly recommended for group dining. Our group of 10 enjoyed the set menu, which is reasonably priced with unlimited starters—though you can only reorder after finishing your mains, a unique approach to reducing food waste. The menu is diverse, with standout dishes like duck spring rolls, ginger prawn dumplings, steak with rice pancakes, and calamari. The white chocolate dumpling dessert was exceptional. However, they don’t accommodate dietary swaps, so we had to order extra dishes à la carte. While that was inconvenient, the food and ambiance were excellent, and we had a great time overall.

Can I just say that this place is so so good. Like well spent anniversary tbh. My recommendation is Pork and Prawn Sui Mai! We also got the Lemongrass chicken dumplings, Legit Special Fried Rice, salt and pepper calamari, Caramelised Crispy Pork (I think the sauce a bit too much and too strong but just don't use too much I guess). Good serving amount and price isn't so bad. Thank you Sayuru for looking after us. Definitely will come back. Please make reservation when you can, they can get pretty busy. Cash friendly.

I love this restaurant! The food is delicious. They have a great variety of plant based dishes. The eggplant is to die for. Service is attentive and friendly. I think our waitress was Phoebe, and she did a great job answering all our questions. There's an elegant and intimate atmosphere. 100% recommended
