Oh my god, can’t tell you enough about the amazing people who run this place. First of, the food is undoubtedly the best Udon I have ever had, and I had a lot!!! Then the couple who run the place truly make you feel at “home”. This place is heavenly and they bring you alk kinds of gifts and added experiences to the food that I would not spoil it. Just go there and go with their flow. They have so much love to share with you; do the same!

What an unexpected find. Easily the best meal we had (today’s day 7) and we were at Osaka for the first 5 days. The ladies serving us were very polite and funny. Food had clean bold flavours. Coffee was unexpectedly delightful. Desserts were on the sweet side but the accompanying matcha was a good match.

Small cute place in between temples serving only udon noodles. We've had 2 different recipes, both really good and tasty! Staff is helpful and friendly, great stop during visits!

Delicious food and such a beautiful, welcoming setting. Stumbled upon Ogura Chaya after a meandering hike, and it was perfect. We loved everything we had down to the welcome tea—vegan+pescatarian ramen (which happens to be our diet) was amazing, red bean and walnut dessert was as well. Sake was so refreshing and subtle after a few hours hiking and exploring. The people running this restaurant were incredibly friendly and efficient, and put so much care into the food they serve and the space they provide. ❤️

どうもありがとうございます！? I stopped here with a friend for a lunch break and we had the most lovely experience enjoying some delicious udon. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, the food was excellent and the place itself felt very cosy and inviting. A very special thank you to our wonderful hosts for their sweet gesture: they offered us cute hairpins and even took the time to style our hair with them. It was such a kind and memorable moment that made our visit even more special. Highly recommended!
