The entrees are amazing with a range of kebab options. For main course you have options of biriyani and breads. The seafood and meat options are delectable and you can enjoy a great meal. The price point is quite high and is overpriced but guaranteed to have a great meal.

Formal dining in a beautiful hotel. We tried a chicken Murgh and a Roganjosh both were delicious as was the bread and the siff a tent flavors of ice cream. It opens at 7.30 for dinner, BTW. Google is incorrect.

This was our second visit in two months. Last time we tried seafood thali at lunch time. It was an excellent food experience. Same comment cannot be made about our naan dinner recently. Even the payasam was tasteless.

The Navaratna at the Taj Samudra is still the best restaurant for Indian cuisine, despite many competing options cropping up of late in and around Colombo. The food is fresh, flavourful and authentic Indian with a range of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. After you have sipped the hot and spicy rasam which was a great appetiser, try their Dum Biriyani, prawn masala, chicken Chettinad and the assorted basket of naan and roti. A glass of flavoured lassi and the all-time favourite dessert options of gulab jamun and carrot halwa was a great complement to a wonderful Indian dinner. Think Indian, think Navaratna.

Good place to have authentic Indian food. Really enjoyed their Biriyani and Naan.
