If I could give this place more than 5 starts I would. The food is AMAZING. And the staff are super friendly. We tried their famous firecracker chicken. We were warned it’s so HOT but it’s an absolute dream for spice lovers like me and my husband. All their food and drinks were so amazing. The place is a whole vibe. Expensive place but the food will have you thinking about it for days after you’ve had it. ????
I recently dined at Monsoon Poon and had an enjoyable experience, though some aspects were better than others. The food was mostly average, with a few standout dishes. I particularly enjoyed the noodle dishes and the eggplant dish, which were both flavorful and well-prepared. However, the shaking beef fell short of expectations, as it was just average in taste and presentation. The service was excellent, with friendly and polite staff who made the meal pleasant. They were attentive without being intrusive, and the food arrived quickly, which was a plus. I also enjoyed the selection of entrees, which had a variety of interesting flavors and textures. Monsoon Poon offers a range of cocktails, and while they had some good options, most were fairly average. They were refreshing, but I felt they could have been more creative or bold in flavor to match the ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, Monsoon Poon is a solid choice if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and decent food. I found it better than average, but there’s room for improvement in some dishes. Based on my experience, I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars for a pleasant, albeit mixed, dining experience.
The service was very good, but if u need to read the menu always wise to switch on your light on your phone as the lighting indoor is poor and a struggle to read the menu. As the tables are so close to each other in the main area one could just hear any conversation of the diners? Might be ideal to ask the waiter to have the beef cut into smaller portions before they serve as no knife was placed on the table except for a fork and spoon. And we had to ask for a bottle of water too. We managed to capture these pictures using our flash on our phones. The setting is ideal for a large group who wants to dine and converse loudly or roar in laughter.
Very yummy southeast Asian fusion with generous servings. Coconut rice was a bit strange with the savoury mains but would've been good as a dessert. Great mocktails and nice servers. Will def come back/recommend.
Tasty fusion Asian cuisine in big portions. Decor is lovely and there’s a nice selection of cocktails. Easy parking at the downtown Carpark.
