A few mins walk from Auckland CBD and quite a nice spot to enjoy a takeaway lunch. There's plenty of seats available as well. During daytime it's always busy with small ferries to and from North Shore and Waiheke.

2024: The crown jewels of Auckland city, bustlin' with movement on sea and land. Commercial Bay mall, the fish market and many other eateries being a major draw for locals and visitors alike. I'd highly recommend the Lighthouse installation on the tip of the wharf.

A busy part of down town and an important part of the Auckland ferry network and berthing point for cruise liners. There are a number of piers for ferries from various parts of Auckland. We use the Pine Harbour ferry that berths on pier 3. I understand that the New Zealand low water datum is somewhere on the waterfront. I spotted an historic marker measuring feet above low water and wonder if that is part of the datum

Queen’s Wharf – Auckland’s Vibrant Waterfront Hub & Perfect Launch for a Devonport Day Trip Queen’s Wharf is one of Auckland's most iconic waterfront destinations, blending rich history with modern-day charm. Located right at the foot of Queen Street, it offers stunning views of the Waitematā Harbour and is home to two major event venues: the historic Shed 10 and the modern Cloud. Whether you’re exploring the area's maritime history or just enjoying the bustling atmosphere, Queen’s Wharf is a perfect spot to relax and take in Auckland’s vibrant waterfront. If you’re looking for a fantastic way to spend the day, I highly recommend using Queen’s Wharf as the starting point for a trip to Devonport—a charming seaside village just a 20-minute ferry ride away (for only $20 round trip!). The ferry departs frequently from the wharf, offering scenic views of the Auckland skyline and harbour, making for a relaxed, scenic journey. Devonport offers a unique combination of beautiful beaches, boutique shops, and historic sites like North Head, making it an ideal day trip. After enjoying the sights in Devonport, you can return to Auckland’s central hub at Queen’s Wharf, where you can enjoy a meal at one of the many great restaurants with views of the water. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Auckland—both Queen’s Wharf and the Devonport trip are must-see experiences!
