Modern Love is where I’d love to call home. If I’m ever lost, just look first to see if I’m at Modern Love. I love it here. Everything about it. I don’t eat meat, so I’m always obsessed with the opportunity to have… EVERYTHING on a menu. Came here on a Friday night, my boyfriend and our 2 friends. One of our friends is gluten free, like super duper gluten free, so we appreciated the added measure that Modern Love cooks every gluten free item in separate fryers. They really assured her about that detail. The layout of the restaurant is sleek and inviting, kind of like open floor plan and communal but dimly lit enough to feel sexy. EVERYTHING on the menu is unbelievable. When I ate meat, one of my fav things were buffalo wings ?? and Modern Love has scratched the itch, folks. The seitan wings are ummm… unreal. GF friends, the cauliflower wings are also 10/10. Don’t even get me started on the chicken parm hero. It’s actually against the law how good this is. I’ve been here now 4 times and it is always a hit. Obviously I’ll be back :)
I ordered this for delivery, and the food was top notch! Loved the Buffalo Mac & Shews and the Seitan Hot Honee sandwich. I also got the peanut butter shake, and was very impressed. Can't wait to try more of what they have, going to dine in next time.
One of my go-to vegan spots in Williamsburg! I’m from the Midwest so was introduced to Modern Love through their Omaha location (rip ?) and fell in love with them. The food here is great - my go-to loves are the Mac & Shews and the Kale Cesar w/ crispy tofu. We also love the tempeh and broccolini appetizer and wings! The service is generally okay but could be improved - we’ve had some odd interactions and have also seen waiters being rude to customers.
I went to Modern Love Brooklyn on the recommendation of a coworker. It was the first stop on my day trip from Philadelphia and it fueled me and my partner in the best way! I got the mac and shez, which was incredible. The cheese sauce has so much flavor and pairs really well with the kale and the crispy tofu. My partner got the hot honey “chicken” sandwich and I had a bite- it was delicious. Not too spicy and lots of flavor from the coleslaw. We came on a saturday around 2 PM and sat immediately, but by the time we left service had picked up quite a bit. The staff were all super nice and accommodating, checking in on us frequently. I’ll definitely be back in the future for more mac and shez! ?
I’m so glad I was able to eat here before they closed! The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. Based on the recommendation of my waiter, I got the mint & cookies milkshake, which was mind-blowing! I also got the fried mozzarella as an appetizer. I loved how crispy the exterior was in contrast to the creamy interior. While there was no cheese pull, it was still delicious and a nice balance of creamy inside to fried shell. For my entree I got the barbecue and a side of Mac’n’cheese, and the Mac’n’cheese stole the show. It was so creamy and satisfying.
