First time eating in, I was pleasantly surprised ,they have a Robot Cat that delivers the food, what an idea! The food is good and tasted fresh kway teow was really good and spicy. I wouldn’t recommend the tea though, tasted a bit off. Overall the food was a feast! Highly recommended, I’d def come back .
Review: Jom Kopitiam – Authentic Malaysian Flavors in Perth Jom Kopitiam is one of the few truly authentic Malaysian restaurants in Perth, located in the heart of Northbridge. If you’re craving traditional flavors, this spot delivers. What’s Great: ✅ Authentic Kaya Butter Toast – Fresh and homemade, not the jarred variety, making it a true delight. ✅ Freshly Made Roti – Perfectly flaky and crispy, just as it should be. ✅ Good Ambiance – A welcoming and cozy atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. ✅ Friendly Staff – Attentive and helpful service adds to the overall experience. Final Verdict: Jom Kopitiam is a must-visit for Malaysian food lovers in Perth. Whether you’re in for a quick kaya toast or a full meal, the quality and authenticity make it well worth it. Highly recommended!
If my Malaccan born mother says the rendang is authentic, you bet it is. The rendang beef is soft and tender, the ayam masak merah is tangy, the right amount of spice and generous! The lekor is soft and fluffy and the service is amazing! Not to mention it’s halal certified! In terms of taste, the rendang is definitely authentic, the ayam masak merah has a bit of a vinegarish after taste and could work with sugar, but all in all a solid Malaysian cuisine choice in Northbridge!
Went on a Sunday Afternoon, did not waited long for a table cos eating alone. Staffs are friendly, attentive and polite. Although restaurant full house, waited only 10 minutes for the food. Almost everything taste good. Coconut Rice is fragrant and delicious, curry chicken flavorful and chili average spicy. Ikan Bills and peasant tastes bit stale. Fried radish cake, tastes average. Will come back for more Nasi Lemak
Last Saturday, I had got this breakfast set as I wanted to try a few different things. Everything was delicious, especially the toast that had a delicious spread I haven’t tried before. I would love to eat the set again but it’s too filling. The only downside was the service. It wasn’t clear if cutlery and napkins were self-serve, and after I got my food, I realised I was expected to get them myself, which felt a bit unusual. When I first arrived and stood by the sign asking customers to wait to be served, it took a couple of minutes before someone came over. That said, I’d still come back since the food was so good.
