We always make time to come eat here every time we visit NYC. We stumbled upon this gem when we were looking for a place to grab some food after a show. The service is fantastic, you feel as if you’ve been invited to eat at someone’s house. The food is so delicious!
This was my first time trying Turkish cuisine. My friend loves Istanbul Kebab House and I can see why. Immediately the employees greeted us warmly and sat us in a cozy spot. Laura was particularly a stand out, provided recommendations and made sure we got the best deal. The food was flavorful and filling. The stand out was the pistachio baklava, lamb and chicken doner and the tea. I felt welcomed and respected as a customer which is just as important as great food. I will be back!
After searching for good halal food for the past two days, I finally found this gem! We ordered chicken shawarma, lamb shawarma, and a mixed platter — every dish was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy and well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were great for the price. The restaurant is clean, staff are friendly, and the service was quick. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely value for money. Highly recommended if you’re craving authentic Turkish or Mediterranean halal food!
This Turkish restaurant offers a truly delightful experience, particularly for those who appreciate warm hospitality. The staff's demeanor is consistently exceptional; they are always smiling, supportive, and provide awesome customer service, making every diner feel welcome. This level of attentiveness significantly enhances the dining atmosphere. While the culinary offerings are enjoyable, South Asian palates might find the spice levels to be on the milder side. Nevertheless, the dishes are flavorful and well-prepared, and I personally enjoyed them. A minor point for diners to be aware of is the presence of some hidden charges. It would be advisable to carefully review your order and the bill to avoid any surprises. Additionally, the tables are quite small due to limited space, which can make it challenging to comfortably enjoy multiple dishes simultaneously. Despite these minor considerations, I believe Middle Eastern patrons, in particular, will find this restaurant's authentic flavors and exceptional service highly appealing. Overall, it's a worthwhile visit for a taste of Turkish cuisine.
