Visited twice on weekday afternoon and their buns are usually sold out by noon. So only managed to buy the banana cake and bread/biscuits. They are good. Hope to try the buns and other pastries next time. They accept cash only. Quite heavy traffic area. So not easy to find parking. Better to be dropped off and picked up later. Update: Long queue on Thursday morning. Break time is between 11am-12pm, so have to wait then. Also long queue cause it’s nearest to CIQ for non-local looking for freshly baked bread. Location is ideal. Coconut bun and Otah bun were just average, the bread skin was more burnt and tough to chew, and have to eat it when still fresh and warm. Banana bread is still the best and can avoid queue and buy in afternoon. But have to refrigerate after 2 days or it will turn mouldy after few days out. Oyster cake is sold by a make shift stall in front, in the morning. The Dona Bakery next door is owned by a celebrity chef.

It's an old bakery along Jalan Tan Hiok Nee. You can call it an institution, by the looks of its customers lining up, eagerly to snap up whatever is available, every day. From the observation, the customer are elderly, those who have known about this legendary bakery's banana cakes and also younger generation who probably are curious & think it's a hip thing to show off those banana cakes in their social media posts. Strictly by cash payment only. I noticed that many in the queue came well prepared with hats or umbrellas, meaning they are not first timers.
