This is a solid fast food restaurant with great vegan Options. Quality is not the finest, but at least it is open also late at night.

Delicious food and amazing customer service from Gazi. The food was so good that I came back 2 days after with 5 of my friends. The previous time I had the vegan shawarma wrap and the next, the falafel box. One of the best places to get falafel. Especially as a vegan, he was very flexible to my preferences. The music is also a vibe! Definitely recommend!

Myself and my partner and daughter came to Hala Wala for some shawarma, We were greated extremely well and the staff were very friendly. The food was fantastic and tasted incredible. The lamb was to die for and the chicken taste great. Highly recommend.

More like HELL Walla!!

I visited this place with my family, a group of eight, after spending the morning at London Zoo. Based on a quick Google search, this seemed like a decent nearby option with reasonably good reviews. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst eating out experiences I’ve ever had.

Poor Seating and Layout:
The restaurant was poorly designed and lacked sufficient seating. The layout was chaotic and disorganised, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. It’s supposed to operate as a fast-food restaurant where you order from self-service machines, similar to McDonald’s, but it couldn’t have been further from that standard.

A Frustrating Ordering Process:
During my first attempt to order, I was informed at checkout that chicken shawarma was out of stock. I had to remove it from my order and switch to lamb instead. Then, on my second attempt, I was told that fries were also sold out. This forced me to adjust the meal deals yet again and settle for wraps without sides.

Excessive Waiting Times and Overwhelmed Staff:
After placing our order, we had to stand and wait far too long for the food. The restaurant had only two staff members working, and they both looked stressed and miserable. The atmosphere was tense, and customers’ frustration was evident. One woman even told me she had been waiting for an hour for her shawarma. At one point, the two staff members had a disagreement in full view of customers, which only added to the chaos and unprofessionalism.

Cold Food and Missing Items:
When our food finally arrived, it was an utter disappointment. The shawarmas were  cold. Everyone in my group agreed. To make matters worse, my falafel was missing from the tray, and the bread served with the hummus was cold and hard.

Serious Hygiene Concerns:
While waiting, I noticed one staff member handling onions and salads with bare hands, which was unhygienic and revolting. No gloves were used, and it was clear that hygiene standards were not being met.

Unacceptable Customer Service:
The worst part came when my brother found a large piece of cartilage in his shawarma. He brought it to the staff’s attention, but instead of apologising, the response was rude and dismissive. The staff member offered to make him a new one, but my brother demanded a refund and left the restaurant, along with my sister.

Too Little, Too Late:
One staff member, Abeer, was apologetic and eventually offered us free fries as compensation. However, by that point, the damage had already been done. I was extremely upset and overwhelmed, especially since I had chosen this place for my family, and everyone left annoyed and disappointed.

Final Thoughts:
To the owner of this restaurant: This establishment is an absolute disaster. Your staff is overworked, unsupported, and struggling to cope with the workload. You should be ashamed of running such a poorly managed business. If you want to continue operating, I strongly suggest rebranding—and honestly, the name “Hell Wallah” would be more fitting.

It’s shocking that the Food Standards Agency allows this place to operate in its current state. I wasted £55 here, not including parking fees, and left feeling embarrassed and regretful. Next time, I’ll go to KFC next door instead.
