Super nice place and food!! You should really come and try the curry udon and the different side dishes they have. A committed team to provide vegan food and passionate about what they do ??
Great vegetarian food. Small menu and the restaurant appears to be manned by one person but the options mimic traditional Japanese fare.
Delicious vegetarian spot 3 minutes walk from Toji temple. I was able to walk around the temple then head here for lunch then walk back to my rental spot. Also 10 minute walk from Kyoto station; very convenient. All the food was great & came to my table very quickly. She offers a Japanese & English menu for those traveling. I ordered the soy milk sesame udon, curry udon, spring rolls, the crispy soy cutlet, as well as both the curry & miso flavored fried soy meat to go. I ate a lot, but didn’t leave feeling sluggish or heavy. Highly recommend this spot.
Love this little eatery tucked away in a peaceful lane near Toji temple. Everything here is vegan and allium free so oriental vegetarians can dine here freely! Thankful that they provide warm and cool water for free! Love that they also have a section that sells vegan goods like sauces, highly popular instant noodles and frozen food!! Stocked up so many goods here!! Owners are also very sweet and helpful! Highly recommended !
We were warmly welcomed by a lovely uncle who served us. He was able to communicate in basic English, making it easy to order our food. The restaurant had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal. It's also conveniently vegetarian-friendly, especially for those who can't take alliums. The food was absolutely delicious! My personal favorite is the Soy Meat Cutlet rice bowl, and I highly recommend the curry udon and curry rice as well. I will definitely visit again when I travel to Kyoto.
