Excellent restaurant! We had the beef rolls, beef and basil, and the bun cha - highly recommend all 3! Nora our server was exceptional, friendly, attentive to detail, and so helpful with teaching us about the city! So excited we have one more day here to come back.

A very elegant restaurant with the nicest waiters you could wish for. The food is extremely tasty, looks amazing and worth every penny. We enjoyed this experience very, very much!

Had a very nice meal here, while still being affordable and on the cheap side. I went for a set menu, option A. Had green papaya and shrimps salad, Bun Cha as the main which was quite good, and then some banana rolls dessert which I didn't like as they were deep fried and they were very oily. Other than that, nice service and nice atmosphere.

Our meal at essence restaurant was fantastic! We ordered the chicken and rice (hoi a style) and rice rolls. The meal was very fresh and delicious and gluten free friendly (they have a separate menu with gf options). The service was exceptional as well- very friendly and even going out of their way to hold onto and package a purse that we had accidentally left at the restaurant. Truly a great experience at this place!
