Had dinner here as it was highly recommended by friends. Am quite picky with Msian food as I grew up eating them and I gotta say Desa’s food is pretty close to home. The menu is not large however the dishes we got were all well made. I was very impressed with the Sambal which is an important condiment in Msian cuisine (it will make or break a dish). It tasted so good that we pack what little that was left. Service was fantastic, restaurant is decorated tastefully, clean and spacious. Food portions are also decently sized. Highly recommended. Gotta try if craving for hawker style food.
First time having my meals here. It was iftar and for me the menu choices are excellent. A variety of dishes with large portions. The drink menu splendid too. Cosy and Muslim friendly restaurants. A place for solah and many others.
Desa Corner - Malaysian Good Dine Went in for dinner last night with the boss at Desa Corner on K-Roas after Google rate 4.8 Once entrance it was quiet and only us in the restaurant ? The wife said - are you sure it’s 4.8? Until 6:30pm, customer turned up and full house - so we went in too early, lucky that they had table for us ? Food was great!!! + Chicken Satay: kind of rare to have fine chicken satay that is grilled. Experienced most with fried ? Their chicken satay brought us good flavour. Not too sweet satay dip. + Tofu skin salad: this good protein entree is mix of tofu skin, cucumber and fresh veggies. The salad sauce is fresh and nice. + Roti with Chicken curry: very interesting dish. I thought the flavour would be as ordinary curry with roti but not….their curry taste great. No coconut cream outstanding the curry. Chicken is tenderly nice. Highly recommended. Service was great. Very friendly staffs Halal restaurant. Only downside is hard to fine the carpark around K-Road at the moment. Highly recommended
This sparkling new Southeast Asian restaurant at the corner of Mercury Lane and KRoad serves authentic cuisine ranging from Nasi Goreng to Sizzling dish to Home-made pulled noodles. I love the mural on the wall made by a husband and wife duo portraying nostalgic cartoon characters of Kampung life in Peninsula Malaysia. Cozy, warm and welcoming ambience, with spacious layout. Rest room ensuite and a sunny spot overlooking KRoad. Children friendly. Generous portion, fresh and large selection. Highly recommended. 7/7/24 here for lunch, made a online reservation for 6 which was super easy and quick. We had the special Mee Rebus Desa, very authentic rich taste like mums, brought back good memories of Kampung life. This dish even has the crumps on top, with beef slices. Second dish, Roti Prata Sarang burung, which is very popular recently in Malaysia. Freshly made flat bread (roti Prata) with runny egg and to-die-for curry on the side. Third dish, chicken chop Fried rice. Pretty spicy but the chicken chop is perfectly crispy. Fourth dish, Wantan Hor, big portion with a bowl of cut chilli on the side. Fifth dish we had was Pad kra pao, not a familiar on my palate, slightly saltish. Last one, is the Chicken rice with roast chicken. Crispy chicken very consistent taste everytime we order this dish. Super friendly staff and cost atmosphere! Sunday 18/5/25 Delayed Mother's Day brunch. Free parking on Canada Street on Sunday, but this won't be for long. Warm and welcoming as usual. Three chefs working in the kitchen, a wait staff and Maitre'd. Not too many sitting customers but several take-aways. We had a mix of rice and noodles dishes, Chendol and Teh Tarik. Authentic taste, flavourful and just the right portion. Well done Desa Corner!
Loved my lunch here today. Delicious food and very generous portions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room is exceptionally clean. Can’t wait to try more of the menu.
