Been coming to Branto for over two decades for their signature pav bhaji, and it remains as good as the first time I had it! Don’t skimp out on the extra pav.
Authentic Indian food. Thali set is delicious and their pani Puri is my favourite. Please note that they charge HKD10 for every dal refill, which is a bit ridiculous. I have been to more than 5 Indian vegetarian restaurants in HK and they are the only one charging this amount for a tiny sauce/dal.
No frills good authentic Indian food. They’ve been around for a long time and it doesn’t disappointment. The environment is nice and clear and service is efficient
Branto is a vegetarian Indian restaurant located in Kowloon that was a sort of saving grace after two other vegan restaurants ended up being closed. Opened later until 23:00, they offer a mix of Indian, Bangladeshi, and Himalayan cuisine. I ordered the Special Thali (made vegan) after asking them what would be the friendliest vegan option available. I later realized that they likely just pointed out their fanciest option but removed the dairy items, which could've been done with any of the plates really... oh well. Food was pretty good overall. The thali had a lot of options to try which made it a fun dining experience. Some of it felt a bit too salty but I enjoyed the veg curries that they offered. Pricing was a bit higher than other Indian spots nearby (similar to what I'd pay here in California).
