Landed and decided to have dinner at Astons around 6pm, regretted it instantly.

There was a long queue outside and yet no urgency from any of the staff. Staff looked like they were taking their own sweet time, and many customers inside were still waiting for food.

Lots of tables were left dirty and untouched for over 40 minutes while staff just walked around aimlessly. We waited to be seated for more than an hour, despite all those uncleared tables.

The worst part? When we finally got seated, we saw that more than half the restaurant was empty; just dirty tables waiting to be cleared before the next group of customers could come in. The long queue outside could’ve easily been avoided if the staff had any sense of urgency or knew what they were doing.

And to make things worse, they don’t even need to do cashiering since orders are done and paid via QR code. So what exactly were they doing?

On a busy Sunday evening, especially at an airport, you’d expect better. Surely they could’ve had more staff on duty to handle the crowd? Even the manager was just dilly-dallying when there was a huge queue outside.

This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

Not the kind of service I would expect from Astons, especially at Changi. Truly disappointing.

Customers have reported being informed of a 45-minute waiting time for tables, even when visibly empty tables are available. This suggests potential issues with staff allocation, table management, or a lack of urgency in seating patrons.

Furthermore, the mobile payment system seems to contribute to the overall customer service concerns, indicating it might not be as seamless or intuitive as intended, or perhaps staff are not adequately assisting customers with its use.

This was an unacceptable experience. I had just returned to Singapore and went to your outlet around 8pm. The manager told me I would need to wait 45 minutes. However, I immediately noticed an empty table and pointed it out. Only then did he reluctantly allow me in.

Once inside, I saw even more empty tables—at least 3 to 5. Why are customers being told to wait when there are clearly vacant seats? This isn’t just poor service—it shows a lack of basic effort and responsibility from your staff.

Is this the kind of service standard we want to showcase to visitors in Singapore? Aston’s management needs to take this seriously. Your staff are clearly not doing their job, and it reflects poorly on your brand and on our country’s hospitality.
