Fantastic service, beautiful and cosy ambience and the food were very good. We ordered a selection of food and drinks and all did not disappoint. For starters we took the creamy laksa bouillabaisse, the grilled octopus were nice and the oysters with balsamic were really good. Steak and wagyu beef cheeks were really tender. The sea urchin was so nice. There's 5 types of cocktails and we ordered all. Indeed they were very tasty. Even the desserts were really nice especially the sticky date pudding. Definitely will come back here again.
Had the one-for-one Tapas dinner w my husband at Espoir & everything was pitch perfect! Tapas starts at 6 or 6.30pm. There were 7 dishes to choose frm & u can choose all, but maybe choose about 4-5 to eat at one time. The surf clam, bikini sandwiches, mini octopus, lamb ribs(v.tender meat, nice stuff but not my thing), oysters, crabsticks, prawn- all were gd, some were v.chef's kiss! Pace yourself. The paella comes about an hr later, after most or all of the guests are seated. The staff will go around to serve seafood, chicken or veg paella. We had churros prior together w paella & rounded everything off w their delectable basque cheesecake. It was really gd & they had a mini jug of mango sauce to go w the cheesecake. Beverages are payable, on top of the $98 one-for-one buffet cost. Steer clear of the mocktails w whiskey in it- though it has 0% alcohol, the smell of whiskey is still v.much there(thanks to the staff for the heads up). Otherwise they offer free flow plain cold water. Toilet is at the same level & it is clean & spacious. They also hv a musollah! That is WINNING. I love it. Their staff are helpful, esp. Anan & Dasuki. Anan took time to explain the Espoir tapas experience & recommended us Ginger Illusion drink which my husband enjoyed so v.much. Very courteous staff. Overall, a v.pleasant experience at Espoir & am v.happy we decided to try out halal tapas at this place. We spent about $131 for 2 pax, quite OK price point considering the location & type of establishment.
we tried the tapas buffet with 1-1, service was super! food had some hits and some misses, but the prawn (that I don’t have a pic of lol) was really good. paella and potato dishes were unfortunately a bit odd and the oyster croquette was fishy, but enjoyed the artichoke puree haha atmosphere nice as well!
This Tapas restaurant is great for date night and catching up with friends! Came here for dinner with a group of friends and the food was served quickly. They have a wide range of food choices for their buffet menu and it’s worth for the price for the food quality! Staff Mr Aznan always wearing a smile while serving us. Will definitely come back this place again
Tried the halal tapas buffet. They’ve got a good mix of small plates, paella and desserts. Started with six small plates, then went for the seafood paella with squid, prawns, clams and mussels in laksa broth. The chicken paella was also great too. Other tasty dishes included garlic prawns, croquettes and lamb ribs. For dessert, the churros and Basque cheesecake were the perfect finish!
