The weekend is finally here! And there's no better time to sit back, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee for a well-deserved break. With plenty of halal cafes in KL and Selangor for you to do so, we'll be highlighting places that's got that minimalist aesthetics for you to sink back into further relaxation while you sip on a creamy latte or long black ?

1. F.R. Copper

With its sleek interior featuring white marble and copper tones, let a sense of peace wash over you at F.R. Copper as you grab a table and order an ice black. Pair it with one of their yummy desserts like chocolate banana bundt cake, biscoff layer s'mores and more! Their sweet treats tend to run out fast so arrive early and keep an eye our for social media updates for their latest offerings.

2. Daun

Get a dose of greenery and breath of fresh air when you drop by Daun, the sister cafe to the popular glasshouse-inspired eatery - Pokok. The all-white space gives the cafe a fresh, clean look, and creates a peaceful vibe that puts you at ease. As you snap away for some Insta-worthy shots, make sure to enjoy their pastries, desserts and coffee while you're there.

Note: Daun is temporarily closed but will be opening soon! Keep an eye out on their social media pages for an update.

3. Feeka Coffee Roasters

Keep your eyes peeled for Feeka Coffee Roasters that's cleverly situated among a row of converted town houses. As you take in its rustic vibe and lush atmosphere, take a satisfying sip on one of their signature coffees - all of which are brewed from beans sourced from local roasters.

4. VCR

With two locations in KL, VCR is the perfect place to take a break from the city and enter into a zone of relaxation. Delight your taste buds with any one of their mouthwatering pastries or scrumptious desserts, and tie it all nicely with some freshly-brewed coffee.

5.  PODGY Kurau

One of the best coffee places in KL, PODGY Kurau is the new home of what used to be known as PODGY & The Banker that was located in Sri Hartamas. Serving some of the smoothest coffees you'll ever taste, take the opportunity to enjoy their large selection of pasta, salad and sandwiches as well. If you're lucky, snap a photo at this IG-worthy corner of the cafe for that perfect #ootd brunch look.

6. Soul Sacrifice

Named after American rock legend Santana’s instrumental classic, take your coffee adventure to Soul Sacrifice where not only will you be able to enjoy a good ol' cup of coffee but also plenty of other delicious offerings. If you are feeling adventurous, make sure to try Cup of Nations! This amazing dish is a unique take on scotch eggs, which sit on a lovely purple bed of sweet potato mash, surrounded by a pool of creamy leek sauce.

7. Thursdvys

The folks at Thursdvys take their coffee seriously. Inspired by the coffee and cafe culture in Melbourne, Thursdvys was opened with a simple cause: to serve good food and coffee. The cafe's menu includes all day brunch items, such as Baba's Big Breakfast and French Toast, as well other popular items such as the Thursdvys Doughnut Burger and the Rain Warmer Pie (a chicken mushroom pie).

8. X Coffee

Oozing a minimalist vibe with wood decor and hints of greenery, you'll definitely feel the relaxing atmosphere once you step into the lounge of X Coffee.
