1. 786 Char Kway Teow

786 Char Kway Teow might be a small one-man operation, but it's one of the most famous halal char kway teow stalls in Singapore! Run by a Chinese revert, Mr Anis, each plate of char kway teow is topped with juicy cockles and there's a fragrant 'wok hey' char smell that'll make your mouth water. ? If you prefer the cockles to be cooked throughout make sure to tell Mr Anis!

P.S. As Mr Anis is the only one manning the stall, do be understanding if he takes some time to cook your order or process your inquiries.

Aspirasi is probably one of the best places in Singapore for Malay-style chicken rice. The best part is their chicken that's been fried to a perfect crisp and the crispy crumbs makes the dish even better! ? Choose a range of sauces to go with your chicken from sambal to lemon, sweet & sour, and even black pepper. It's the perfect meal after a tiring day exploring the sights of Singapore!

4. Farasha Muslim Food

Located facing the bus interchange next to Seah Im Food Centre, Farasha Muslim Food is another stall serving up your favourite local Malay dishes like Ayam Penyet, Ayam Goreng, and Nasi Lemak. ? Their must-try dish is the Ayam Nasi Goreng - the chicken is soft and tender while still having a crispy skin! Plus all of their dishes are $6 or cheaper so you don't have to spend a lot to get a great meal.

5. Thaksin Beef Noodle

Thaksin Beef Noodle serves up Thai-style beef noodles packed with flavour. ? The beef chunks are tender, and if you opt to mix in tripe and other offal they're all soft and chewy too. The chilli flakes pack a real punch - if you can't handle spice, be careful not to sprinkle too much over your noodles! Their chilli sauce also has a strong citrusy sourness to it, so go sparingly and don't overseason your bowl. (And yes, you can request to not have basil leaves or coriander added. ?)

This homegrown brand has been around for over 20 years, and it's the place to go for a quick and casual meal complete with a cup of delicious coffee!
