During this trying time of the coronavirus, health has never been more of a priority. While we stay home and practice social distancing, it's important to take other preventive measures like keeping fit and eating healthy foods.

On top of that, as Muslims, we can also do our part by praying and strengthening our faith through duas. If you happen to be quarantined, feeling sick or know of someone who is in a similar situation, these duas can provide comfort as you turn to Allah s.w.t. for mercy and healing.

P.S. Our Hello Ramadan 2023 event is now LIVE! Head over for Ramadan recipes, a 30-day Ramadan journal, live shows & exciting lucky draw prizes!

Do note that although this is not meant to replace visiting a doctor and consulting healthcare professionals for major health issues, there's no harm in practicing these prayers to calm the mind and heart.

Aisha R.A informed us:

“When Prophet Muhammedﷺ  was in final illness, he used to recite Surat An-Nas and Surat Al- Falaq, and then blow his breath over his body. When his illness was aggravated, I used to recite those two suras and blow my breath over him and make him rub his body with his own hand for its blessings." (al-Bukhari)

Dua #1

Oh Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis, and evil diseases.

Oh Allah! The Sustainer of Mankind! Remove the illness, cure the disease. You are the One Who cures. There is no cure except Your cure. Grant us a cure that leaves no illness.

Oh Allah! Our Lord and Sustainer! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the Fire of Jahannam (Hell).

Dua #5

I seek protection in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I am experiencing and of what I fear.

Transliteration: "A'oozu bi'izzatillaahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa ajidu wa uhaaziru" Although uncertainty lies ahead of us during this difficult time, let's do our best to keep calm and stay positive through it all. May Allah s.w.t. protect us and our loved ones from harmful diseases and let us pray that the situation will get better InsyaAllah. In the meantime, stay safe and take care ?
