What is CU?

One of our favourite things about visiting South Korea is all the Muslim-friendly Korean convenience stores we get to visit! It's been a long time since we last visited the country but luckily for Malaysians, there are plenty of shopping spots in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor where you can get halal Korean snacks and even groceries.

For fans of Korean cuisine, it's time to get excited as the popular CU convenience store chain from South Korea has opened its fifth outlet at IOI City Mall! It's regarded as Korea's number one convenience store and has about 15,000 outlets across the nation.

What makes this flagship store unique is its dome-shaped store! Plus, it features an outdoor area with more than 10 tables for dine-in customers. Now you have a new hangout spot to chill with your family and friends while you indulge in a variety of halal Korean street food, beverages and ready-to-eat meals. It's also located next at Symphony Walk - a beautiful fountain at the premise so you'll have a nice view during the day and night.

Will there be other CU outlets opening in Malaysia?

The answer is yes! Currently, there are 5 CU Convenience Store outlets open. You can find them in these locations:
