8 Luxury Accommodations In Thailand To Book For Your Future Trips

Cheng Sim •  May 31, 2020

Your last trip to Thailand may feel like a distant memory, but don't let it stop you from dreaming about the country's stunning islands, Muslim-friendly snacks, and chilly destinations for that pretend winter vacation.

While we're staying at home, we can't help but checking out the best luxury hotel deals in Thailand for our future trips. Whether you're travelling to Bangkok or Koh Samui someday, we hope this article will ease your holiday planning when the time is right.

Disclaimer: Do note that this article is in no way encouraging you to travel now. We do acknowledge that the situation right now is very uncertain and with this article, we hope it'll continue to inspire your future getaways to Thailand when it's finally safe to travel again.

Guide to booking a hotel room during this period of uncertainty

In this period of uncertainty, travel plans may change and restrictions might be reinforced when we least expect it. If you're planning a getaway next year, here are some tips to book your hotel room in advance.

  1. Stay up to date with the country's travel advisory and restrictions. As the number of new COVID-19 cases can fluctuate at any time, get the latest updates from your local embassy as well as the country's Health Ministry and Immigration Department.
  2. Before you book a room, double-check the hotel's cancellation policy and date flexibility. Take note of the final cancellation date in your calendar, so you'll remember to cancel before it's too late.
  3. When booking through a third-party platform, browse for hotels using the free cancellation filter. For example, Agoda EasyCancel and Hotels.com's free cancellation allow you to cancel your booking before a certain date, in case there's a change of travel plans.
  4. Lastly, create a flexible travel plan. Since the travel situation may change at any given time, prepare a travel plan that allows you to move around your dates easily when the unexpected happened.

Note: All nightly rates are based on a search between October and December 2020 for 2 adults. Prices may change in the upcoming months and we recommend that you do a search before booking. At the time of writing, the nightly rates for 2021 are unavailable.
