From the Instagrammable bookstore in Seoul to the vintage bookstore in Ipoh, our love for beautiful bookstores know no bound. So much so, we have a list of stunning libraries and bookstores around the world that we hope to visit someday. If you're living in Johor Bahru or across the Causeway (hello, Singapore!), we're excited to share this Instagram-worthy bookstore in Johor Bahru that you should visit next.

Say hello to one of the newest BookXcess store at Sunway Big Box! Situated in Nusajaya, Sunway Big Box is the first hybrid retail park that opened last February. Besides having a warehouse-style branded store, dining options and kid-friendly play area, it comes with a brand new bookstore too.

Towering bibliophiles with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, it's also one of the biggest bookstores in the southern region of Malaysia and marks the 9th bookstore under the BookXcess brand.

Packed with one million titles, ranging from self-help and autobiographies to non-fiction and children's book, the well-illuminated bookshelves are a sight to behold and it's hard to resist taking a photo for the 'gram.

It also has a beautiful staircase that'll lead you to the upper floor of the eight-meter bookshelf where you can discover familiar reads and maybe, your new favourite book.

Another thing we love about it is the kid-friendly corner! Parents with kids can make their visit worthwhile by hanging out at the Children's Cave that comes complete with kid-friendly reads and fairy tale books. We can't wait to make a trip to BookXcess at Sunway Big Box someday!

Opening hours: Open daily; 10AM-10PM

Address: BookXcess, Sunway Big Box Retail Park, Jalan Bayu 6/5, 81550 Nusajaya, Johor
