You Can Now Drop Your Luggage At The New Self-Baggage Drop At KLIA2

You've safely checked in online but you can't head over to the Immigration Counter yet - not until you drop off your luggages at the baggage counter. The problem is, you have to wait in line to do so and it can be quite taxing as it would typically take at least 10-20 minutes of your time (yikes!) ?

Well worry not, fellow travellers as KLIA2 hears you loud and clear! ?

Effective 15 March 2018, your travelling experience at KLIA2 will be made easier and faster with the new Self-Baggage Drop (SBD) Facility, so you can kiss the long queues goodbye! ?

According to MAHB Managing Director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Malaysia Airports has been paving the way for a more convenient and hassle-free travel since January 2018 at its second terminal, KLIA2.

The SBD facility, Scan&Fly is provided by world leading specialist in air transport communications SITA and it is expected to cater to more than 25 million AirAsia passengers who come to KLIA2.

With over 15 counters at Row V and W, the self-baggage drop facility will be able to cut the waiting time to 1 minute per passenger! How convenient is that? ?

Imagine not having to sulk over your check-in process and have everything sorted out faster than ever! ??

To utilize the facility, simply follow these steps:

  1. Check-in online and print your boarding pass and bag tag.
  2. If you're not opting for online check-in, simply go to the kiosk available at the airport and print out the boarding pass and bag tag.
  3. Attach the bag tag on your luggages and head over to the self-baggage drop counter.
  4. Place your luggages on the belt.
  5. Scan your boarding pass and bag tag with the scanner.
  6. And you're done!
