Chingay Parade started in 1973 as a street parade to celebrate the Chinese New Year and has since evolved into an annual event that showcases Singapore’s diverse cultures and ethnicities. This year, you can look forward to the classic Chingay parade, live performances in the heartlands, and much more. You definitely don’t want to miss this! 😃

1. Chingay Parade 2023

On 3 and 4 February 2023, the F1 Pit Building will be transformed into a spectacular live parade with a livestream which you can watch online from home too. If you’re planning on catching the parade live in person, you can get tickets on SISTIC (from only $20!). What better way to start the year than to gather your loved ones to celebrate Singapore’s unique multicultural landscape with liveliness and grandeur through parades, performances and much more! 😄

2. Chingay Art Installations

From 5 to 9 February 2023, unleash your inner IG star at the Chingay Art Installations whichcomprises 4 main installations: Chingay Container Art, Rabbits ART-Venture, Chingay Floats and Mini-Floats by the community. 😍 If you’re feeling up to it, youcan take part in the Spot The Rabbit! Contest to win prizes! Simply look for the four hiddenrabbits around the Chingay Art Installations, take a photo or video while posing with the rabbitsand post them on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok! Don’t forget to tag Chingay and add thehashtag #SpotTheRabbit (make sure your account is public!)
3. Chingay @ Heartlands

If you think the show ends after the parade, think again. Chingay @ Heartlands will take place at East Coast GRC on 11 February, to Tanjong Pagar GRC on 5 March 2023 from 6 to 9:30PM! In addition to the main Chingay Parade, Chingay will carry bits of the show to various residential estates for more residents to enjoy. Be sure to check the dates to see when it’ll come to a neighbourhood near you so you won’t miss out on the spectacular performances!
