Đ. Nguyễn Văn Huyên, Quan Hoa, Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội 100000
If you're in Hanoi, you should definitely stop by. This is one of my favorite museums I've visited in all my travels. They do a wonderful job of celebrating the different ethnicities that make up Vietnam. My only regret is that I didn't go before my trip to Ha Giàng because I feel like this would have provided a lot of context for what I saw there
I rode 25 minutes from the old street to get here — and it was totally worth it!??although the traffic had me stroke ? There are so many cultural attractions around, and as a Taiwanese Indigenous person, I feel a deep connection here. There are many Indigenous groups in Vietnam, and I was really impressed by how well their cultures are preserved. According to my guide, some of them prefer not to modernize, so I had the rare chance to witness what their original way of life truly looks like. For parking needs 5000 I think is okay ??
Small but full of knowledge. I loved reading every item on display. How I wish I’m with someone who enjoys this kind of place too ?. Feels like I didn’t even finish exploring because of it. Few students tried to talked with us, which was nice since we find it rare to encounter locals who speak English.
Stunning museum which you can spend 3hours+ at and for only 40k. There are 3 sections: the main building (goes through different ethnic groups), kite building (much broader range of exhibits including a while floor for Korea), and the outdoor exhibit which has many culturally significant buildings from the various ethnic groups. The best museum we visited in Vietnam covering a wide range of areas and all very interesting with lots of detail.
I needed to get out of the heat today so I spent a few hours here. Beautiful exhibits and so much information about the huge variety of cultures in Vietnam. Very enlightening. The garden in particular was stunning and I also really enjoyed the sections about mahuts and their elephants. For 40,000VD entrance it is well worth it and you'll definitely learn something you never expected!
