Free entry. Bags have to be put inside locker at first floor. Air conditioned. There are numerous artifacts including mummies (real mummy) which I find interesting. The museum gives me different kind of exposure to the culture and life of people living around Turpan and Xinjiang as a whole. It opens my mind on the way people travel and trade using the silk road and the resultant spread of culture along the route. I'm writing this review two years after visiting this museum which gives me a deep and profound memory. Very impressed with the museum and I highly recommend this museum in your itinerary.

Very interesting with lots of great displays.

Lots of mummy’s

Good experience. Lots of amazing history. Learned a lot. Not very big so you can complete the entire museum in just over an hour. Staff are friendly but watching over the guests carefully. Gift shops are nice. Some good deals for souvenirs.
