Great experience, lots of history of ceramics to discover. Good history lesson about the history of Penang. We were treated to some exquisite tea and a lesson on some tea etiquette from one of the wonderful staff there. All in all a great place to visit
What makes the SO museum special is the staff who genuinely appreciate and are passionate about the exhibits. Each piece tells a story, and Kelvin and the team are more than excited to share details you wouldn't get from a usual museum visit. So escape the heat and be amazed by these high-fired pieces.of art work - many which were from shipwrecks. This place and the.people are true gems of Penang
Really interesting museum to learn about the history of Penang as well as the importance of Porcelain in maritime trade. We sat down with Kalvin who was so kind with his time and was so passionate about teaching us the history of this amazing town. We would 100% ask for the guide if you visit this museum as we learnt so much about the history of the island all the way up to current day Malaysia. Thank you again Kalvin!
Must visit for anyone who is interested in history, the museum includes porcelain ceramics and ceramics from all around the world. Upstairs there’s also time tunnel of Malaysia ??. Very interesting and informative, the environment are also quiet and calming.
Amazing place with artifacts of many hundreds years old. Depicts the history of Malaysia and Georgetown. The staff is pleasant and provided us with all guidance we needed. Def recommend.
