We cycled here from the Sizihwan beach area and joined the anglers in watching the ships enter and exit the KaoShiung port main entrance (before the other moderns wharves were developed)

It's a park area with a refreshing vista of sky and sea at the mouth of the Kaohsiung Harbor. There's a car park across the street making everything easy peasy.

This is the best place to enjoy the sunset. You celarly can see how the beauty of sun goes down slowly and like dissapear under the water. When the sun is down, just wair for a little bit more and you can see the moon is appearing. Its such a very beautiful scene with the very calming feeling surrounding you.

Good tarra o visit for sunsets

We walked from Gulshan Ferry Pier, across the bridge, and stopped at the Shaochuantou Park, then to here. It was a short stroll, pleasant on a warm day with a sea breeze. The views here and the nearby Xiongzhen North Gate Fort were spectacular and stunning.
