I really love this park for walks, meditation, beautiful photographs, walks on the water, sports, bike rides. Always clean, green, with excellent cycling and walking paths. There are many playgrounds, picnic areas, cafes and restaurants. An excellent view of the city across the river, which adds romance when meeting in a restaurant.

Perfect spot to unwind! This park offers a stunning city view, serene riverside setting, and a playground for kids. Plus, a mobile cafe for a quick bite. Ideal for relaxation and family time, with something for everyone to enjoy!

I’m delighted to share my amazing experience at Sir James Mitchell Park,South Perth during City of South Perth Australia Day2025 and Citizenship Ceremonies. The whole function was awesome and very well organised including Flag Raising Ceremony,Citizenship and Reaffirmation Ceremonies by presiding Officer-Mayor Greg Milner. Auspire Community Citizen of the Year Awards were distributed to the awardees with great honour. After celebrating the Australia Day and Citizenship ceremonies the function was concluded with great breakfast enjoyed by the member participants and guests. On this day all Australians pledge to be loyal to Australia and its People!????

What a truly beautiful place to have a picnic on the lawns or a BBQ on the terrific facilities provided The view is spectacular and all the facilities provided are first class eg toilets tables and great children’s play grounds We had a family gathering with 6 adults, 4 children and of course the dog The atmosphere is amazing kids running around everywhere and entertaining themselves. Some weekends food vans are available but if not shops are very close so it’s a win win what ever time you attend If you’re looking for a beautiful place to have a relaxing day with family and friends this is the place swings, bike paths, places to kick a footie, run around, and burn up excess energy this is it Did I mention or just a quiet drink and look at the lovely river Give it a go!
