Unexpectedly fun place to visit. Very educational experience about the entire chocolate production process. From farming cocoa, processing the coca beans to end product. There are many fun games to play towards the end of the factory visit, ending with a chocolate dispenser and wrapped disposal machine. There was also loads of history of chocolate through the ages from discovery from Aztec in 1500s by Spanish till modern days. Entrance cost 1200 Yen for Adults, and 500Yen for kids from 4-12. 0-3 yo are free. There were many enticing and seasonal Royce products at the store to purchase after your visit to complete the memorable experience.

I love Royce, so this may be somewhat of a biased review ?, however, despite my love of Royce, the museum itself was a very fun experience! I wasn't really sure what I was expecting coming here (besides getting my grubby hands on the delicious chocolates), but I genuinely enjoyed how the museum and the various activities are set up. From the history of chocolate and Royce themselves, to the process of making the chocolates. My favourite part (besides the eating of chocolate) is the activities room, where you can play various mini games and interact with various things as part of the chocolate making process. It is a very fun place for all ages and I highly recommend you visit this place if you're in Hokkaido.

I’m not a HUGE fan of chocolate but I love Royce products and this chocolate town really impressed me! I think it would impress adults and kids alike. Very informative Very interactive And you can tell that a lot of thoughts and consideration went into making the whole experience so wholesome and fun! There is a game station after all the exhibit. It’s the best “museum” experience I’ve had after a very long time. And I learnt a lot about chocolate making experience! The entrance fee is quite affordable at around 10+ SGD You start from level 3 then you slowly go down to level 2 and 1. You’ll end the whole experience at the Royce store where you can buy the special items for that store which is the chocolate soft serve and hot chocolate drink. Outside of the factory there is a beautiful rose garden where you can enjoy the flowers and sit around sipping your chocolate. Free shuttle from Royce town train station to the factory is available (both ways) with high frequency so that you don’t need to walk between the two places. Highly recommended!!!

Very interactive museum tour! They describe how royce chocolate is made from start to finish. Highly recommended for choclate lovers out there.

Absolutely worth traveling to! I loved every single thing about this experience. It was so much better than I could’ve imagine. The amount of detail and love that went into this place is evident in every single room. It was incredibly interactive and educational. This is definitely top 10 museums. I have visited in the world.
