Point Danger is a stunning beachside lookout with incredible views of the coastline. The area is beautifully set up with a park, BBQ facilities, and tables, making it perfect for a picnic or a relaxing day out. It’s also a fantastic spot to watch surfers catching waves. Being right on the border of NSW and QLD, the time zone changes added a unique twist to the experience. Highly recommend visiting this scenic and well-maintained location!

I have been coming here for 40 years, such a wonderful view of the pacific sea and the skyline of Surfers Paradise is wonderful, the Tweed River meets the Ocean and Duranbah beach is a great place to sunbake or surf, so many memorial plaques and tributes too

Nestled on the border between Queensland and New South Wales, Point Danger is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates the raw beauty of Australia’s coastline. Steeped in maritime history and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, this headland is both a natural wonder and a historical landmark. Once notorious for its treacherous waters, the headland served as a key navigation marker for ships navigating the coastline. Today, historical markers and interpretive signs around the area provide insight into the challenges faced by early mariners, enriching the visit with a sense of place and time. This blend of natural beauty and historical narrative offers a multi-dimensional experience that appeals to both history buffs and nature lovers alike.

It definitely is one of the most beautiful places in the Gold Coast/ Tweed Heads. It is situated at the border of QLD and NSW and it is just wonderful how you can see both the ocean and the skyline of Gold Coast at the same time. There's a large green space to hang out, too! The only thing to note is that it could get windy so if you go on a day with a mild temperature that would be the most ideal!
