Jalan Petaling, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I visited Petaling Street, and it was quite an experience! The market is larger than I expected, bustling with energy, shops, and a wide variety of goods ranging from clothes and accessories to souvenirs and local street food. Prices are generally not expensive, but be prepared to negotiate—bargaining is absolutely essential here. One important tip: never reveal your offer price first. It's always better to let the vendors quote their lowest price before you start negotiating. With a bit of patience and good negotiation skills, you can score some great deals. That said, the area could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness and overall hygiene. While the atmosphere is vibrant and lively, a bit more attention to sanitation would really enhance the visitor experience. Overall, it’s a fun and colorful place to explore, especially if you enjoy street shopping and local culture. Just go in with the right mindset and be ready to haggle!
Petaling Street is a nice place to explore, especially if you enjoy cultural sights and local flavors. If you’re driving, I recommend parking at Four Points Hotel ? it’s convenient and costs RM5 per hour if you can’t find a spot nearby. Try to visit before sunset, as the night atmosphere may not feel as pleasant or safe. For me, the highlight was the beautiful Indian temple full of colors, carvings, and quiet spirit.
We visited a local market and had a great time! The atmosphere was lively and full of energy. There were so many stalls offering a variety of products at very affordable prices. One of the highlights was definitely the food – delicious and authentic! We tried some local dishes and snacks, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. It’s a great place to explore local culture, try traditional food, and find good deals. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
Great place to visit, especially if it’s your first time in Kuala Lumpur. Petaling Street is full of energy, with plenty of street food, bargain shopping, and local vibes. It’s a fun spot to walk around, try some snacks, and soak in the culture. That said, if you’ve been here before, not much has changed,it’s still the same classic Petaling Street. But that familiar charm is part of what makes it special! However, do be careful with the sellers’ pricing…many tend to give higher prices to tourists. It’s best to compare, ask around, and don’t be afraid to bargain.
