Such a breathtaking scene from the hilly part of Pattaya, located in a place which is two hours away from Bangkok. Highly recommended to have a visit to this view point first so that you can enjoy the fresh air and good vibes!!! During our recent trip to Pattaya for Songkran, we had the chance to visit the iconic Pattaya City Sign and viewpoint, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. The combination of natural beauty, cityscape, and festive atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience. Located on Phra Tamnak Hill, the Pattaya City Sign overlooks the bay and provides an incredible panoramic view of the city and coastline. Whether you're visiting during the day or catching the sunset, the views are simply stunning. We went in the late afternoon, and the golden hour lighting made for some spectacular photos. What made the visit even more special was the Songkran festival energy in the air. While the city below was buzzing with water fights and music, the hilltop offered a more peaceful retreat. It was the perfect place to take a break, enjoy the breeze, and soak in the scenery away from the crowds. The area around the sign is clean and well-maintained, with walking paths and viewpoints that are easy to explore. There’s also the Pattaya Viewpoint (Khao Pattaya View Point) nearby, offering another angle of the breathtaking bay. Getting there is easy via taxi, motorbike, or even a walk if you're nearby. I’d highly recommend visiting around Songkran – you’ll get to enjoy both the excitement of the festival and the tranquility of the hills. Tip: Don’t forget your camera – the views are postcard-perfect! Overall, the Pattaya City Sign and mountain view is a must-visit spot for anyone in Pattaya, especially during the festive season.

You can see the city sign from every point of the beach road so I was curious to see how it look like on the location. We arrived by car and there was no problem to find parking. The sign is so tall from near and hard to fit it in the photo. The view of Pattaya bay and the marina is magnificent. There is a cute coffee shop a few steps above.

Around the Pattaya City Sign on the Bali Hai Are and Phratamnak Hill are many nice Photo Spots with great view to the Bali Hai Pier and the Skyline from Pattaya.

The Pattaya City sign provides exceptional panoramic views. However, improvements are required to address the steep stair descent and the intense solar heat reflection from the concrete base. We recommend exploring options such as altering the ground's surface color or implementing a cooling solution to mitigate the high temperatures. Aside from these minor modifications, the vista is truly spectacular.
