Jalan Sultan Mahmud, 45000 Kuala Selangor, Selangor, Malaysia
This is a beautiful place to head to for a day trip with friends or family. The experience of the boat ride, getting off in the middle of the ocean. Remember, you'll need to remove your shoes once you are there. It was wonderful to just walk and stand around in the sand bar. The guides were so good and very helpful. The best part is taking photos which we absolutely enjoyed and had a great time!
We did 2 tours with them. Sky mirror and kelip kelip. We enjoyed both tours, staff were professional. We like that there’s proper insurance cover and the life jackets are good quality and did not smell. The sky mirror photographer is good and worked hard to take our pictures. It’s really good to see these tours as sustainable tour products. Highly recommended.
A must visit experience by every Malaysians also every tourist to Malaysia. Funfilled experience. This is the official provider authorised by Tourism Malaysia and their services are amazing. The boat guys super friendly and assist you and give you the best overall experience. Top 5 star experience every time visits here. Thank You Team.
What an unbelievable experience! We arrived at 9am for a 10am departure! Followed by the eagle feeding at 5pm and 7.30pm fire fly and blue tiers tour. A long day but totally worth it. Fabulous photos and memories to cherish. We had a beautiful seafood lunch next door after the sky mirror and visited the cafe whilst waiting for the fire fly tour. Highly recommended!
We made a rather spontaneous dash to Kuala Selangor one rainy evening—departed KL around 7pm and reached just an hour later, umbrellas at the ready and spirits still high. The goal? To catch a glimpse of the famed fireflies, one of Kuala Selangor’s most magical nighttime spectacles. A word to the wise: the best time to visit is between 7 and 8pm. Any later and you risk missing the show, as the fireflies start to dim their glow and call it a night. Timing, it seems, is everything when dealing with nature’s own fairy lights. Now, if you’re lucky and time your trip just right, you might also witness the enchanting blue algae phenomenon—where the water lights up in a surreal neon blue glow. It’s like the sea threw a rave and forgot to invite the humans. But do note, this only happens during high tide and certain months, with June being the most likely candidate. Each experience—fireflies and blue algae—has its own dedicated boat tour, and we went with Jet Sky Mirror Kuala Selangor, a name that’s built a solid reputation in these parts. The boats are well-covered (a blessing in unpredictable weather), and the crew clearly prioritise safety and know-how, which is always reassuring when you’re out on the river after dark. Tours are reasonably priced at RM35 for adults and RM30 for children (local rates), though foreign visitors can expect a slightly higher fare. The ride lasts about an hour—just long enough to soak up the serenity and take a few “ooh and ahh” photos without overdoing it. All in all, it’s an experience that blends nature, wonder, and a touch of adventure. Just check the tides, keep an eye on the clock, and let Kuala Selangor do the rest.
